When I create a texture sometimes I “see” something in the texture… something hidden. Sometimes it’s a certain shape or maybe it’s simply the combination of texture and color that makes me wonder…what could that be.

A few months ago I started to act on what I thought I saw!

My curiosity sparked a new series that I’ve titled Dreamscapes.

The first Dreamscape image, called Leaf Peepers, was based on one of my Cat Hair Studios textures and a photo of a leaf I had taken at the beginning of autumn.

The images that followed so far have been landscapes… or well… sort of surreal or fantasy-like landscapes! I don’t know where these landscapes come from, although I have to admit I am quite the scifi fangirl! But the reality is I’m just going with the flow, whatever pops into my head I’ll try, if it doesn’t work, or doesn’t feel right I’ll try something until it does feel right!
