New Year New Free Fine Art Texture!

This new texture can be used as part of your commercial and personal artwork. 

The jpg file is 300 dpi and measures 12 inches wide x 9 inches tall. This fine art texture was created by using two or three different photos of various elements. The image was also modified using Topaz Impressions (LOVE!!).

I created the image on the left, called Flourish, using this new texture.

A photo I took of some lovely bright yellow Mums was placed above the texture layer. That photo layer was converted to black and white and the layer opacity was adjusted so that the image was sort of ghosted back but not too much! I then duplicated that layer, reset the opacity to normal and used Topaz Detail to strengthen the details on just the main flower. Returning back into Photoshop I masked out the majority of the image on that layer with the exception of the central part of the flower, then I changed the layer opacity so that area was brighter than the surrounding flower.

After that I flattened my new image, sized it down for uploading to Flickr, used Topaz Detail once again to sharpen the overall image up a tiny, tiny bit and that was it, all done!
